About MemSave
If Memories Could Be Transferred Foundation Inc. (MemSave) is a U.S.-registered nonprofit public charity recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
We help people record and preserve personal stories with dignity, privacy, and sustainable care.
Our Mission
MemSave exists to preserve real-life memories and personal stories—especially when illness, aging, displacement, language barriers, or limited resources make it difficult to do alone.
We believe memory preservation is an act of dignity. A story does not need to be famous to deserve careful care.
Who We Serve
- Elders who want their life experiences remembered.
- Patients & caregivers facing medical uncertainty or long recovery.
- Immigrants & families separated by distance or language.
- Ordinary people who simply want to leave a trace.
You may write in any language. You do not need perfect grammar or a “good story.” We can start with a few sentences.
What We Do
1) Story Intake
You can share a memory by email or through our online form. There is no required format.
2) Editing & Structuring (By Request)
If you ask, we may help organize your words into clear, readable text while keeping your voice. Final approval always remains with the storyteller before anything is posted publicly.
3) Translation (By Request)
If you ask, we may help translate stories so families can read across languages. Translation may be assisted by tools, but publishing decisions remain human decisions.
Privacy, Consent, and Publishing
Our default rule is simple: Private by default. We do not publish stories unless you explicitly tell us—in writing—that you want public sharing.
For safety, we may remove highly sensitive personal identifiers (for example: full home addresses, government ID numbers, private medical record numbers, or other details that could put someone at risk) before publication.
If you later change your mind, you may request removal or anonymization where reasonably possible. Please see our Privacy Policy for details about handling, retention, and removal requests.
