Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

Your memories belong to you.

MemSave exists to preserve memories, document human experiences, and ensure that lives are not forgotten. We respect your privacy and your right to decide whether your personal story should be shared.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide, such as your name, email address, messages, personal stories, photographs, audio recordings, or documents.

Our website and service providers may also process basic technical information, including IP addresses, browser details, cookies, and website activity.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to respond to inquiries, preserve submitted memories, maintain our archives, operate the website, and protect its security.

Our public-interest archives may also document events using information from publicly available sources.

3. Privacy and Publication

Personal stories and materials submitted privately are not published without your clear written permission.

Before publication, we may correct formatting, improve readability, or remove sensitive identifying details while preserving the original meaning.

Publicly documented events and personal submissions are handled differently. A person’s private submission does not become public simply because it concerns an event included in our archives.

4. What We Do Not Do

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
  • We do not require visitors to create a MemSave account.
  • We do not publish privately submitted personal stories without permission.
  • We do not claim ownership of your personal memories.

5. Third-Party Services and AI

MemSave may use website hosting, WordPress, email services, online forms, donation processors, and AI-assisted writing or translation tools.

These providers may process information necessary to deliver their services under their own privacy policies.

If you do not want AI tools used to process materials you submit directly to MemSave, please tell us when you contact us.

6. Your Choices and Data Removal

You may request access to, correction of, anonymization of, or deletion of personal information you previously submitted.

We may ask for reasonable verification before processing a request. Some information may need to be retained for legitimate operational or legal reasons.

Published material may also remain in external archives, search engines, or previously downloaded copies beyond our control.

7. Security and Children

We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no online service can guarantee complete security.

Please do not submit passwords, full identification numbers, financial account details, or another person’s private information without authorization.

MemSave does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Please contact us if you believe such information has been submitted.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our activities or services change. The date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.
