Target inclusion rule: one occurrence with at least 10 total fatalities, including people aboard all involved aircraft and people on the ground. The legacy counts below have NOT all been reconciled to that rule. No grand total should be calculated from this edition. Missing-aircraft accidents and unknown causes must not be equated with deliberate acts. Hostile action and intentional destruction are separately classified. Unknown injuries do not mean zero injuries. Geographic labels require checking against boundaries at the date of occurrence.
Sources are a mixture of official investigations, official statements, news reporting and specialist databases. Source links are evidence leads, not proof that an entire entry is verified. Differences between fatalities, presumed deaths, occupants, injuries and survivors must be preserved.
